![]() ![]() being able to do everything from behind the controller. As a result you'll be fully depending on the software and its specific workflow vs. The Mikro on the other hand is mostly aimed towards playing but doesn't provide much more options. Not to mention that you can also use the entirety of Komplete on the Maschine. See, the major advantage of Maschine is that you can use the controller to fully set up your material, even up to the point where you can cut up a sample and spread that out across your pads. I own both and I strongly suggest to get the Mk3 vs. The controller is also designed to better integrate with the software when sampling (use of the knob, and the way you can speed through mapping samples to pads and then adjust them). If the focus is sampling, then I'd consider the MPC Studio as the sampling workflow in MPC is, IMO, better than in Maschine 2. You also can get an MPC One and a Mikro MK3 and still end up paying less than a Maschine+. If this will be used predominantly with a non-Maschine 2 DAW, then the MK3 and Plus are massive wastes of money. so I wouldn't even use it for production unless with a laptop while traveling (for USB Port efficiency)
