These companies that have data breaches sometimes only offer one year of identity protection theft from one of the three credit reporting agencies. Remember the data breach at Equifax year 2017? It's only going to get worse. Through legitimate bills pass by Congress, our US government should shut these data brokers and "people look-up sites." Why? According to LifeLock by Norton TV promotion, the following is revealed:" Every 3 seconds in this country, a person becomes a victim of identity theft." Every 3 seconds! According to statistics, cyber crime such as identify theft is the fastest growing crime in the US. There is some legitimate business theory regarding these "People look-up sites." However, in this digital age, all of our data that appears on these "People look-up sites," is prime to be ultized by data hackers. Thereby my personal data will once again end up on most likely all of the 400 plus "People look-up sites" now in existence. If my data is removed, then the data will once again be sold to a data broker. However, it's just a forever ongoing process. I now pay a service to remove my data from data brokers. These data brokers then sell the information to these so-called "People look-up sites" such as Instant. The US federal government is well aware that local governments, whether it be a large city or a small town sell our personal info to data brokers. The point I'm making is that failed to inform myself, or any of their clients that they had experienced a data breach in year, or prior to 2019. Yes this could happen at any company on the private, public, or government level. Do business with Instant, and you risk having your data exposed on the dark web. If I had been informed by InstantCheckmate in year 2019 of their data breach, I would have taken protective measures immediately that may have helped protect my personal identity. 4 years had past since Instantcheckmates breach. The data was located on the Dark Web in January 2023. Description: Your personal information (which could include emails, passwords, names, surnames, and phone numbers) was identified in a data exposure associated with. However, soon after purchasing these identity theft protection apps, the following was revealed regarding my personal info on file at : "Exposed Data : Password: encrypted Exposed Data : Name: I've removed. I purchased these two apps due to a seperate recent incident that fortunately turned out to be only a scare. How did I find out my info had been compromised? By the use of my two personal identity protection apps. Why? I surmise most likely to protect their business past and future. After this data breach, Instant did not make any effort to inform their clients of the data breach. I used this data broker once prior to year 2019. My personal info was exposed on the dark web due directly to Instant. Hacker Id: I highly suggest everyone stay clear of data broker due to their data breach. My data is on the dark web thanks to Instantcheckmate.Īlert Details Exposed: 01/25/23 Exposed Data : Password: encrypted Exposed Data : Name: I erased to protect Description: Your personal information (which could include emails, passwords, names, surnames, and phone numbers) was identified in a data exposure associated with "." The data was located on the Dark Web in January 2023. In conclusion, this is currently the worst data broker in existence and due to their extremely shady practices they need to be permanently shut down. What shady means have they used to get email addresses and phone numbers on every US citizen? How would they know if any of that information is correct? How would someone opt out if they didn't have an email or phone number? Why do they think they have the right to post people's private information online without their knowledge then demand "verification" to remove it? They pretend you can opt out by email, but if you send an email they never respond. Then here's the real kicker, after they trick you into giving them your info for free, they want to "verify" it's you by sending a confirmation code to either an email or phone number THEY have on file for you. This isn't a joke, they seriously want you to just give them all of your private information in order to "suppress" your listing. Where as most sites have a simple, quick and easy process where you put in your name and find your listing, they want you to first agree to their Terms and Privacy Policy then put in your full name, addresses, emails and phone numbers. You have to opt out through their "suppression tool" which they have specifically designed to reduce opt outs as much as possible while also gathering and confirming information about you. Out of all the data brokers, they have created the most ridiculous opt out process of them all. Extremely shady business that needs to be shut down However, yellow – like red – is a powerful colour which can easily become overwhelming. Yellow showed similar results, stimulating creativity, and is often linked to happiness. Green was a popular choice for creative tasks as it encourages inspirtation and harmony. The colour red has been shown to improve performance in detail-oriented tasks, because it is a bold and stimulating colour. It is calming and encourages inspiration by soothing the mind in preparation for new ideas. Specifically for creative types, blue or aqua was the prime choice. See the images below to get a sense of which colour might be the best for you. How people respond to colours is different for each individual, but the majority of people found a blue or blue-green environment was the most conductive to their productivity. Even the higher performing subjects struggled to work in an all-white environment, finding the lack of colour clinical and restrictive. This has been proven time and again in scientific studies, with white being unquestionably the worst colour for a work setting. A touch of nature indoors is always good to remind you that there are things outside waiting for you once you’ve finished, and seeing real plants thrive under your care is always motivating.Ĭolour can be an incredibly important factor in workplace productivity. Plants are cute and uplifting décor options which will keep you company throughout the long day. Another great idea for a home office setup is to decorate the place with plants. Things like personal photographs or an artwork that you particularly enjoy are the small touches which might help to inspire your work day. Picking decorations that have particular significance to you is an excellent way to personalize your workspace and encourage your future self to keep plugging on. For some people, an empty workspace only stifles their creativity. You need to pick the home office ideas that will work best for you, your attention patterns, and your work needs. Minimalism, of course, will not work for everyone. It is also – unsurprisingly – one of the most affordable styles! Minimalism will allow you to focus entirely on the work in front of you, freeing your mind as well as your space from clutter. It is also a professional and distinct style that will most likely contrast the rest of your home décor, helping to conceptually separate the office space from your regular life. Having a clean, sparse workspace will help to quiet the background noise and keep stress to a minimum. This is because there are many distractions while working from home – whether it’s needy family members, roommates, pets, or even just the internet itself. One of the most recommended design philosophies for a modern workspace is minimalism. Work from home: 5 home office design ideas These office ideas for homes are fairly foolproof ways to minimize distraction and encourage productivity in a home working environment. Smaller offices lend well to bright colours and minimal decoration, while larger offices have excellent opportunity for organized storage units and more individualized décor.Īustralian home offices have yet to develop a distinct style, but a typical Australian home office will be fairly minimalist in decoration with neutral surrounding colours. Measuring out a specific area will help with furniture choices and should give you an idea of the sort of office you will be able to create. When planning the design of a home office, it is always important to define the space. The importance of this cannot be understated – without a clear distinction, it is very likely that your work will bleed into your personal life and drain away your recreational time. But if you need to have your office space included within your regular living space, there are some strategies you can employ to make the area still feel separate. Obviously it is not always possible to convert a spare room into an office, though naturally that would be ideal. At an even more fundamental level, your workspace needs to be healthy and provide a positive environment – one of the most difficult parts of working from home is keeping work and home life separate, so the workspace should be a distinctive part of your house. This is why home office layout and style is so important your workspace needs to be one that will motivate you to complete the work without distractions or external stresses. Working from home certainly has its challenges, especially for those who are new to the virtual game. Users will then be able to tap on the notification to view a map of where the tracker was seen traveling with you. Apple, however, will wait to implement the joint spec but will not roll out its own custom implementation in the meantime.Īs this new alerts feature now rolls out, Android users will receive a notification on their device if an unknown tracker is separated from its owner and is determined to be with you. We understand this is a custom implementation to protect Android users, ahead of the finalized joint spec. The spec is expected to be finalized by the end of the year.Īpple and Google team up on industry spec to make Bluetooth tracking devices, like AirTag, saferĪs a result of the increased cooperation on user safety, Google said at I/O in May it would introduce a series of improvements to its own Find My Device network as well as proactive alerts about trackers traveling with you, which would include support for Apple’s AirTag and other devices. This May, however, Apple and Google jointly announced their intention to draft an industry-wide specification focused on how users could be alerted to unwanted tracking from Bluetooth devices. However, Apple’s changes to AirTag at the time didn’t benefit Android users. In February 2022, Apple said it would work to address the problems created with the new devices by adding new privacy warnings and alerts, and warned would-be stalkers it was actively working with law enforcement on the AirTag-related requests it receives. The issues with Bluetooth tracking came to a head as numerous reports emerged that people had begun to use AirTags for stalking and other illegal activities, like tracking cars for a planned theft. Users will also be able to manually scan for trackers with their Android device and be guided through tips on what to do next if a tracking device is found. The feature will allow Android users to be alerted automatically if an unknown Bluetooth device is traveling with them - a sign that could point to the possibility that someone is stalking them using an Apple AirTag or other Bluetooth tracking device. Google today will begin to roll out a new safety feature, unknown tracker alerts, first announced at its developer event Google I/O this spring. As with most other energy drinks the packaging usually has a warning printed on it saying to limit the number of cans consumed in a day – to 3 for the 16 oz size, and it is not recommended for pregnant women, children under 11 years old, or people who are sensitive to caffeine. Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership. Here is a history on the energy drink that so many are in love with these days. Instacart+ membership waives this like it would a delivery fee. There may be a "pickup fee" (equivalent to a delivery fee for pickup orders) on your pick up order that is typically $1.99 for non-Instacart+ members. With an optional Instacart+ membership, you can get $0 delivery fee on every order over $35 and lower service fees too. 100% of your tip goes directly to the shopper who delivers your order. It's a great way to show your shopper appreciation and recognition for excellent service. Tipping is optional but encouraged for delivery orders. Orders containing alcohol have a separate service fee. Service fees vary and are subject to change based on factors like location and the number and types of items in your cart. Fees vary for one-hour deliveries, club store deliveries, and deliveries under $35. Delivery fees start at $3.99 for same-day orders over $35. Here's a breakdown of Instacart delivery cost: This means that each Task instance is a specific run for the given task. Whenever a new DAG run is initialized, all tasks are initialized as Task instances. These dependencies express how tasks are related to each other and in which order they should be executed. Each task may have some upstream and downstream dependencies. TasksĮach node of the DAG represents a Task, meaning an individual piece of code. The retries argument ensures that it will be re-run once after a possible failure. In this example, we define that the DAG will start on and will be executed each day. The complete list of parameters can be found on the official docs. The default arguments are passed into all tasks and can be overridden on a per-task basis. The context manager accepts some global variables regarding the DAG and some default arguments. You can download the official docker compose file from here: The easiest way to install Airflow is using docker compose. This is typically a Postgres but other SQL databases are supported too. PostgreSQL: A database where all pipeline metadata is stored. Scheduler: The scheduler is responsible for executing different tasks at the correct time, re-running pipelines, backfilling data, ensuring tasks completion, etc. A few examples are LocalExecutor, SequentialExecutor, CeleryExecutor and KubernetesExecutor There are many different types that run pipelines locally, in a single machine, or in a distributed fashion. From there one can execute, and monitor pipelines, create connections with external systems, inspect their datasets, and many more.Įxecutor: Executors are the mechanism by which pipelines run. Webserver: Webserver is Airflow’s user interface (UI), which allows you to interact with it without the need for a CLI or an API. When installing Airflow in its default edition, you will see four different components. Train, validate, and deploy machine learning models Example use cases include:Įxtracting data from many sources, aggregating them, transforming them, and store in a data warehouse.Įxtract insights from data and display them in an analytics dashboard As a result, is an ideal solution for ETL and MLOps use cases. What is Airflow?Īpache Airflow is a tool for authoring, scheduling, and monitoring pipelines. It also enables you to automatically re-run them after failure, manage their dependencies and monitor them using logs and dashboards.īefore we build the aforementioned pipeline, let’s understand the basic concepts of Apache Airflow. On the other hand, Airflow offers the ability to schedule and scale complex pipelines easily. Most importantly, they won’t allow you to scale effectively. How would you schedule and automate this workflow? Cron jobs are a simple solution but they come with many problems. Train a deep learning model with the downloaded images Read an image dataset from a cloud-based storage Imagine that you want to build a machine learning pipeline that consists of several steps such as: In this article, I will attempt to outline its main concepts and give you a clear understanding of when and how to use it. It has gained popularity, contary to similar solutions, due to its simplicity and extensibility. Apache Airflow has become the de facto library for pipeline orchestration in the Python ecosystem. Lastly, I just want to point out that the most reclined RF position is actually the fully upright position needed to secure Revolve 360 in the forward-facing position – which is why it only rotates from RF to FF in that one recline position. The rotated position is only for loading and unloading. When you take your child out of the seat, make sure to rotate the seat back into a locked position, either RF or FF. But again, going from rear-facing to side-facing and back to rear-facing again can be accomplished in any RF recline position. Otherwise, you get to the side-facing position and the seat just stops rotating. But if you’re trying to make it spin all the way to the forward-facing position or trying to entertain your child by spinning them around while you’re parked waiting for your Target Drive Up order – you’re going to need to be in the fully reclined rear-facing position to do that. You can still turn the seat from rear-facing to the side loading/unloading position (which is all you’re really going to need to do on a daily basis) if it’s in a more upright RF recline position. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t rotate to the side when you’re using a more upright RF recline setting – it does! It just can’t make the FULL 360* turn unless it’s positioned in the most reclined RF position. However, the Revolve is only able to make a full 360-degree rotation when it’s in the fully reclined position rear-facing. However, there are a few things about the rotational feature that are worth mentioning.įor starters, there are 4 recline positions for rear-facing, these options allow you to achieve the correct recline angle when rear-facing in your vehicle. We’re not going to insult your intelligence by stating the obvious – that you should never drive down the road with your baby facing sideways. This feature is undoubtedly the highlight of Revolve 360 and it’s everything you could hope for in a revolving car seat.

That's "almost the same" thing, and not "exactly the same" thing because there can be unexpected differences with shell expansions and file name globbing. This achieves almost the same thing as straightforward piping. Count lines for matched words Grep invert match How to list only the names of matching files How to make grep command handle multiple search patterns. The most obvious way of searching for files is by their name. To address this shortcoming the xargs command can be used to parcel up piped input and to feed it into other commands as though they were command-line parameters to that command. Related: How to Use the xargs Command on Linux The design principle of making a program do one thing and do it well, and to expect that its output could be the input of another program-even an as yet unwritten program-is often described as the "Unix philosophy." And yet some core utilities, like mkdir The principle of piping the output of one command into another command is a core characteristic of Unix-derived operating systems. If we can take the output of the find command and use it automatically as the input of other commands, we can make something happen to the files and directories that find uncovers for us. You can also use ls with grep, and use grep s pattern matching capabilities. To list files that have '.c' extensions, use this format: ls. To find a file by name but ignore the case of the query, use the -iname option: find. This will be case sensitive, meaning a search for query is different from a search for Query. To find a file by name with the find command, you would use the following syntax: find -name ' query '. But there's a way to leverage that power and take things to another level. To list any files or directories that have names starting with 'ip' use this format: ls ip. The most obvious way of searching for files is by their name. The humble find command really packs some power. To use find for only files starting with your string try. Some say it's the same meaning while others argue that when the bark is removed it is no longer a "live-edge" and instead "natural." I tend to agree and apply the term natural edge when describing the raw organic shape of the edge without the bark, and I use live-edge terminology if the piece still has the bark. This is often debated in woodworking circles. The terminology difference between “live-edge” and “natural edge” is loose. That said, if the bark does fall off I refer to it as a natural edge. I want to preserve the bark as best as possible because I have a preference for the look of bowls that have the bark preserved. I pay special attention to the bark to ensure it isn’t in decay. When making live edge Koa bowls I start with what appears to be a cross-section cut of the wood. I get the most positive responses and interest in my live edge pieces. It isn't straight, the edge of the rim is not only uniquely made up of the untouched edge of the tree, but the rim line is wavy and irregular. This is most evident in the natural lines of the bowl’s rim. Because of the organic nature and odd cross-section shape that live-edge turning produces, it creates a truly unique art piece. Turning live-edge Koa wood bowls is particularly fun for me. My first hands-on experience working with live-edge wood was through woodturning. Custom made by mother nature, each piece is just as unique as fingerprints. By design, it brings the appearance of outdoors inside. Unlike traditionally finished tables, a live-edge table brings the natural lines of the tree into the living space. Live-edge tables typically have at least one side, sometimes both sides of the table untouched. Perhaps the most popular application of live-edge design is in table making. (Koa wood candle holder made from a branch.) As you can see, much of the bark is left intact. The side photo is an example of a live-edge home decor item. Everything from lamps and frames to shelves and bar stools is designed to capture the raw lines and rustic appeal that live-edge woodwork offers. Live-Edge ProductsĪs the popularity of live edge design grows and technology in woodworking gets more advance we see more and more products made in the style of live-edge. And if you like the raw appeal of live-edge carpentry you’ll be happy to know that there is a large range of applications for live-edge. It is a style of woodworking where the artist incorporates the living edge of the wood into the finished product. Live-edge has been used to describe a theme and genre of wood furniture making, wood art, and products. This design element is referred to as a live-edge. As a result, the untouched end of slabs and furniture retains the original characteristics of a tree its shape, and bark. It is the periphery of wood not altered by hand tools or woodworking machinery. What does live-edge actually mean? Live-edge defines the unfinished edge of the woodwork. If you follow rustic or organic interior designing, you’re in all likelihood aware of the popularity of live-edge woodworking. Please note: All products differ a little in shape, grain and texture regarding natural conditions.Live-edge woodworking has become a must-know topic since I embarked in the field of harvesting, milling, and turning wood. In addition to maintaining the bowl it amplifies the grain of the wood which does it just!
